Abstract
Unlike industrial facilities benefiting from robust automation, holiday apartments often require substantial manual interventions, impacting efficiency, convenience, and safety. This study presents design and implementation of an IoT-based smart holiday apartment system. Leveraging the Internet of Things (IoT), efficient energy management, and automation, the system incorporates sensors to deliver precise and timely data on temperature, light intensity, and occupancy. Using Arduino-based controllers, the system optimizes energy consumption by intelligently managing appliances according to user preferences and real-time sensor inputs. The obtained results demonstrate the potential for substantial energy savings and effective automation aligned with user preferences. The study significantly contributes to the growing field of IoT applications in residential spaces. The implemented system offers a user-friendly interface empowering homeowners to effortlessly control and monitor various aspects of their holiday apartments. By seamlessly integrating technology with daily living, the Smart Holiday Apartment system not only enhances energy efficiency but also provides an efficient and convenient solution for users seeking greater control over their living environments. The research simulates practical benefits of employing IoT in holiday apartments, paving the way for broader applications in smart homes and contributing to the ongoing evolution of residential automation technologies.
